BRANDOFMAN, Season 1...

Essentially, season one follows the wisdom of Jesus, found in His parable of two builders from the gospel of Luke. The parable compares and contrasts two builders, one who built a house on a solid foundation, while the other built a house on the ground, without a foundation. After both houses had been completed, a flood came from a rising river. The house that had been built on a solid foundation easily withstood the destructive force of the water, while the house built without a foundation immediately collapsed. Jesus added, “and the ruin of that house was great” (Luke 6:49 NASB).

Christians today, are bombarded with various doctrine in the cause of Christ. Doctrine are principles that outline Christian beliefs, and act as a guide to Christian living. These doctrines include, the doctrine of creation, the doctrine of sin, the doctrine of salvation, the doctrine of man, just to mention a few. However, to grasp these concepts, believers must know the doctrine outlined in scripture that serves as the foundation for all doctrine that follows. I am speaking of the doctrine of God. If we do not build on the solid foundation of who God has revealed Himself to be in scripture, when difficulty comes, and it will, our house will collapse.

Season one is focused on a systematic approach to knowing God in the simplest of terms, in accordance with how He has revealed Himself in scripture. The topics will not be exhaustive, but it will provide a solid foundation from which to build. It is imperative, believers not only know what they believe, but also know why they believe it, and knowing God is the beginning of that journey.
