Romans 1:2

Paul’s writings are rich in Old Testament references, partly due to his formal education as a Pharisee, but also due to the continuous flow of salvation through its pages. Christians today often neglect the “left side” of the bible, instead focusing their attention on the “right side.” We should caution ourselves against such a practice, as the Old Testament is but shadows and images of things to come, all pointing exclusively to the Messiah, Jesus of Nazareth.
